Role overview A senior full stack engineer is needed to join a Core UX team focused on refining an existing product into a polished, premium-feeling experience. The work centers on consistency, layout quality, interaction responsiveness, and visual polish, with significant individual influence inside a small, cross-disciplinary engineering organization.
Responsibilities - Iterate on existing product functionality to improve layout, interactions, responsiveness, and visual polish across the application - Maintain a cohesive design language and consistent user experience across surfaces and releases - Implement performance improvements that materially affect end users - Collaborate with full stack, data, ML, and DevOps engineers to ship scalable solutions - Take ownership of projects from scoping through delivery with minimal oversight - Communicate proactively, surface blockers, and keep stakeholders informed
Requirements - 5+ years of software engineering experience with a track record of polishing features to a high standard - Strong fundamentals in system design, debugging, and problem solving - Experience with a modern frontend framework, preferably React - Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python (open to strong candidates from other object-oriented backgrounds) - Familiarity with serverless technologies (e.g., Lambda, EC2), asynchronous workflows, and cloud environments - Comfort with relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL
Nice to have - Experience with LLMs, generative AI, or distributed systems
