Senior Full Stack Engineer - Core UX (Europe)

Role overview

Join the Core UX team as a Senior Full Stack Engineer focused on refining and polishing product functionality to deliver an exceptional, premium user experience. This role centers on consistency, cohesive design, and performance improvements that directly impact how end users interact with the product daily. You'll collaborate with a global, cross-functional engineering team to build scalable backend solutions while shaping the look, feel, and responsiveness of the interface.

Responsibilities

- Refine existing product functionality with attention to layout, interactions, responsiveness, and visual polish - Maintain a cohesive look and feel across the entire product surface - Implement performance improvements that improve the everyday experience of end users - Collaborate with full-stack, data, ML, and DevOps engineers on scalable backend solutions - Drive projects to completion with minimal oversight, taking full ownership of work - Surface blockers proactively and keep stakeholders informed throughout the development cycle

Requirements

- 5+ years of software engineering experience with a track record of polishing functionality - Strong fundamentals in system design, debugging, and problem-solving - Experience with a modern frontend framework, preferably React - Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python (open to strong candidates from other OO backgrounds) - Experience with serverless technologies such as Lambda or EC2, asynchronous workflows, and cloud environments - Comfort working with relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL

Nice to have

- Experience with large language models or generative AI - Background in distributed systems
