Remote job
Senior Product Manager, Emerging Products (0-1)
Job details
About this role
Role overview A profitable, venture-backed consumer technology company is expanding beyond its established core marketplace into new product verticals and is hiring Senior Product Managers to lead 0-to-1 initiatives. The work spans newly launched lines such as home and motorcycle coverage, concept-phase offerings for other physical assets like boats and RVs, and adjacent services that simplify ownership of high-value property. Each PM will own a distinct new bet end-to-end, from early concept or soft launch through finding product-market fit and scaling.
Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of a new product vertical, defining the problem space and shaping the roadmap from earliest concept through launch and growth. - Ramp quickly in a complex domain (for example, specialty insurance regulation or county-by-county property tax rules) and translate that complexity into clear product decisions. - Synthesize quantitative signals from data science with qualitative customer research to identify the highest-leverage opportunities and prioritize ruthlessly. - Build, ship, and iterate rapidly, gathering customer feedback, applying learnings, and compounding on what works. - Operate without established frameworks, creating the playbooks that future teams will follow. - Act as an owner across the lifecycle, stepping outside your swim lane when something is broken or unblocking the team.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in management consulting (MBB or equivalent), consumer-facing product management, or a comparable role at a high-growth startup. - Demonstrated consumer product instincts, whether built through direct product ownership or close collaboration with consumer product teams. - Strong analytical comfort: able to run your own analysis and build conviction from messy, incomplete signals. - First-principles thinking paired with deep customer empathy and curiosity about how people think, feel, and behave. - Impeccable follow-through and a sense of personal ownership over outcomes.
Nice to have
- Background in insurtech, fintech, marketplaces, or other regulated consumer products. - Experience launching products in non-traditional verticals or physically complex domains.
Benefits and work setup
- Remote-first culture, with optional in-person or hybrid options available at offices in Palo Alto, New York City, Chicago, and Toronto. - Comprehensive benefits package for regular full-time employees, including health, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, paid parental leave, a 401(k) plan with employer matching, and wellness benefits. - Compensation includes base salary plus potential equity grants, with ranges determined by skills, experience, location, and market conditions. - Full-time salaried hiring is limited to candidates residing in AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, MA, NC, NJ, NV, NY, OR, TN, TX, UT, VA, or Ontario, Canada.
