Role overview

Create clear, warm, and engaging content that helps people navigate the transition from employer health coverage to Medicare. This senior UX writing role combines conversational design, branching logic, product and marketing copy, AI and live voice direction, audio production, CMS ownership, and careful compliance review for an incubation-stage digital guidance product.

Responsibilities

- Write interactive, branching advisor conversations that make complex Medicare decisions feel understandable and human. - Produce supporting content such as video scripts, articles, interface copy, button labels, error messages, and other product and marketing text. - Define branching and conditional logic in a form that designers and engineers can build, test, and maintain, including behavior against imperfect API data. - Shape AI-generated voiceover, direct live voice talent when needed, and select performances that sound natural and trustworthy. - Edit, mix, and caption audio to a launch-ready standard so production does not become a bottleneck. - Own content in the CMS from drafting through publication and quality assurance, while preparing material for compliance review. - Coordinate with leadership and external review stakeholders on carrier and federal feedback, preserving clarity and personality while making required changes.

Requirements

- At least 5 years in a writing-led, multidisciplinary role involving UX writing, conversational design, interactive content, content strategy, digital storytelling, or a related area. - Exceptional ability to write in a natural, warm, humorous voice while maintaining consistency across product and marketing experiences. - Strong systems thinking, with comfort designing branching logic and writing for complex or messy data. - A well-developed ear for spoken language, pacing, voiceover performance, audio quality, and captions. - Exceptional attention to detail in regulated or compliance-sensitive content. - Practical judgment about using AI to accelerate work without allowing inaccurate or low-quality output to ship. - Portfolio evidence of making complex subjects simple and dry material engaging.

Benefits and work setup

The role is remote and offers a stated salary range of $115,000–$130,000. The position is available to remote employees in specified U.S. states, and applicants are asked to provide a short writing sample plus brief notes on two portfolio pieces.
