Role overview
Lead complex software implementation projects for major railway and transport organizations, guiding work from requirements analysis through deployment. The role combines project governance, client consulting, commercial oversight, and process improvement in large-scale European and international initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate projects across scope, budgets, staffing, communications, processes, and delivery methods. - Manage risks, stakeholders, schedules, status reporting, and project documentation. - Monitor commercial matters, contracts, financial control, and delivery performance. - Contribute to complex proposals and prepare proposal sections on schedule. - Advise clients on redesigning operational processes for effective use of planning, optimization, and scheduling systems. - Improve project-management practices and related business processes while supporting future opportunities.
Requirements
- Degree in engineering, business administration, transport planning or operations, computer science, or a comparable discipline; equivalent relevant experience and project-management training may also qualify. - Strong interest in information technology and confidence working with complex systems. - Clear communication skills and a consistently high standard of work. - Analytical, structured, and technically minded approach to complex transport environments. - Professional communication skills in both German and English within an international team.
