(Senior) Operations Engineer - Charging Network (f/m/x)

Role overview A senior operations engineer role focused on keeping a large high-power electric vehicle charging network running reliably across multiple European countries. The position blends hands-on technical troubleshooting with partner management, monitoring, and process improvement as the infrastructure scales. It suits an experienced engineer who enjoys owning complex technical problems end to end.

Responsibilities - Maintain high availability and quality across a high-power charging network spanning backend systems, hardware, and communications. - Analyse and resolve network issues, performing root-cause investigations and preventing repeat incidents. - Coordinate external partners and suppliers responsible for site maintenance, tracking SLAs and managing escalations. - Build and refine operational processes, documentation, and troubleshooting playbooks for the wider team and external support. - Implement and improve 360° monitoring tooling to give a full picture of network health. - Lead the introduction of IT tools, ticket systems, and asset management platforms to support operations at scale.

Requirements - Background as an engineer or highly experienced technician, ideally with electrotechnical or IT training. - Hands-on experience operating and analysing charging infrastructure or comparable distributed technical networks. - Strong knowledge of charging technology, IT systems, and communication protocols. - Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues remotely. - Solid experience with escalation management and SLA tracking with external partners. - Excellent written and spoken English, with strong analytical and knowledge-sharing skills.

Nice to have - Project management experience, particularly around rolling out new IT tooling. - Familiarity with backends, ticket tools, and asset management systems. - A collaborative style with a genuine interest in process improvement and team culture.
