Role overview
A part-time, remote design internship supporting an in-house creative studio that produces communication tools for a faith-based nonprofit organization. The intern helps develop print and digital visuals, templates, and brand-aligned materials while growing as a designer within a Christian ministry context.
Responsibilities
- Design and produce visual assets for print and digital resources that align with an established brand identity - Create reusable templates and communication tools for use by staff across the organization - Research concepts, draft layouts, and present design options for feedback before delivering final files - Assist with photography production and editing when assigned - Maintain organized archives of design files and image libraries - Contribute to team meetings, brainstorming, and peer critique sessions
Requirements
- Enrollment in or completion of a college or university degree program - Personal commitment to the Christian faith and agreement with the organization's statement of faith and doctrinal basis - Working proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and current computer systems - Strong visual sense, creativity, and ability to translate ideas into clear layouts - Self-starter with solid time management and the ability to meet deadlines - Availability for around 10 hours per week with a flexible schedule - Capacity for self-awareness, emotional maturity, and collaborative teamwork
Nice to have
- Experience with or quick ability to learn about faith-based nonprofit or student ministry contexts - Photography production and post-processing skills - Interest in contemporary media trends and visual culture
