Role overview A senior product leadership role directs the multi-sided fulfillment engine that powers every order on a large-scale grocery delivery marketplace. The position owns the long-term product vision for logistics—spanning service coverage, delivery speed, batching, routing, and partner matching and pay—and partners with engineering, machine learning, data science, and operations to drive cost, speed, quality, and experience outcomes across the platform.
Responsibilities - Define and own the multi-year product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the logistics pillar, including service coverage, delivery speed, order batching, partner matching, positioning, and compensation - Partner with executive leadership to align the organization around complex, interconnected tradeoffs and translate them into clear priorities - Solve complex fulfillment problems and build net-new products that create value across customers, fulfillment partners, and retailers while improving efficiency at scale - Hire, develop, and lead a high-performing team of product managers, establishing operating rhythms, hiring plans, and development frameworks - Act as a trusted partner to engineering and machine learning leaders on high-stakes technical tradeoffs, anticipating impact before it becomes obvious - Define success metrics and maintain a rigorous experimentation cadence grounded in data, first-principles reasoning, and user research
Requirements - 10+ years of product management or related experience, including 4+ years managing and developing product managers - Strong marketplace or systems thinking, with the ability to reason about multi-sided dynamics and balance long-term versus short-term tradeoffs - Proven track record leading multi-quarter initiatives and shipping products measured by hard business outcomes such as cost, speed, and quality - Technical fluency with machine learning and algorithms-driven products; comfortable working through complex tradeoffs alongside engineering and ML leaders - Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to influence executives and align cross-functional teams in a complex domain - Demonstrated success hiring, developing, and retaining strong PMs and building healthy, high-trust teams
Nice to have - Background in logistics, fulfillment, supply chain, or operationally complex physical environments - Experience with e-commerce or grocery technology - Prior work on algorithms-based products in a multi-sided marketplace setting
