Senior / Tech Lead Mobile App Developer

Role overview A hands-on technical leadership role focused on owning and evolving a production React Native mobile application used for decentralized finance trading. The position blends architecture, performance engineering, and team mentorship to deliver fast, reliable trading experiences on iOS and Android in a fast-paced Web3 environment.

Responsibilities - Drive the technical direction of a cross-platform mobile app, owning architecture, scalability, performance, and long-term maintainability. - Lead the full engineering lifecycle for mobile features, from design and hands-on implementation through testing, release, monitoring, and iteration. - Build complex functionality with React Native and TypeScript while defining and upholding engineering standards, patterns, and best practices across the codebase. - Make and communicate key architectural decisions, balancing product requirements, delivery speed, scalability, and technical debt. - Mentor other engineers through code reviews, design discussions, pair programming, and knowledge sharing. - Partner with Product, Design, and Backend Engineering on API design, integrations, real-time data flows, and supporting infrastructure. - Own release processes and app health, including store submissions, monitoring, triage, and root-cause analysis of complex production issues.

Requirements - 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, including significant production mobile work. - Background building fintech or trading applications, ideally with exposure to blockchain, Web3, or DeFi. - Strong, current experience with React Native, React, and TypeScript. - Demonstrated ownership of a production mobile app, including architecture decisions shipped end-to-end. - Solid grasp of mobile architecture, design patterns, state management, performance tuning, testing, and maintainability. - Experience integrating mobile apps with backend services via REST APIs, with working knowledge of Node.js. - Track record of debugging complex production issues and leading mobile CI/CD, testing, monitoring, and release workflows. - Published and maintained apps on the Apple App Store and Google Play. - Fluent English; able to operate during EU or New York time zones.

Nice to have - Deep familiarity with iOS and Android platform behaviors and platform-specific best practices. - Experience scaling a mobile app to a large production user base. - Background with real-time market data, order execution, charts, or other performance-sensitive financial interfaces. - Prior experience acting as a Tech Lead or technical lead within a mobile team.
