About this role
Role overview A design engineering role owning the company's primary marketing website, with responsibility for both the visual polish and the underlying frontend infrastructure. The position sits at the intersection of engineering, design, and marketing, focused on building an iconic, high-performing public surface that drives organic traffic, conversion, and adoption for an open source security infrastructure platform.
Responsibilities - Design and ship pixel-perfect, reusable UI components and more complex page-level compositions. - Build and maintain core marketing pages (home, product, blogs, resource hubs), microsites, frontend architecture, code quality, and CMS integration. - Implement SEO best practices, run A/B tests, and optimize conversion funnels across the site. - Wire up analytics, attribution, and marketing tooling such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and HubSpot. - Partner closely with leadership, engineering, design, and marketing to iterate quickly on growth experiments.
Requirements - Deep proficiency in JavaScript, React, Node.js, TypeScript, and modern frameworks such as Next.js. - Track record of building high-quality frontend systems with strong attention to performance, accessibility, and maintainability. - Experience in web design and working with design systems. - Exceptional attention to detail, eagerness to learn, and a bias toward action with comfort making decisions and taking calculated risks. - Based in the Americas (San Francisco preferred) or able to work Eastern Time hours.
Nice to have - Technical SEO fundamentals. - Experience with headless CMS platforms such as Contentful or Sanity. - Hands-on configuration of analytics and marketing platform integrations. - Background with developer-facing products or fast-moving startups.
