Developer Advocate

Role overview

Help developers understand, adopt, and contribute to a high-performance real-time data streaming platform. This role combines technical communication, community development, content creation, public speaking, and product feedback. You will serve as a bridge between external developers and internal product teams, working across varied challenges in a fast-moving startup environment.

Responsibilities

- Plan and coordinate webinars, meetups, and other technical events that demonstrate the platform’s capabilities. - Create educational content through blog posts, presentations, videos, podcasts, examples, and practical demonstrations. - Engage with the developer community, answer technical questions, and identify recurring needs or areas of friction. - Build use cases and demos that make real-time streaming concepts clear and useful to developers. - Represent the product publicly in conversations with developers and technical audiences. - Bring community feedback into roadmap discussions and help internal teams understand developer priorities.

Requirements

- At least three years of experience in developer advocacy or a closely related technical community role. - A software engineering background and the ability to understand implementation-level questions. - Good working knowledge of Rust and a strong understanding of real-time data streaming. - Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills. - Confidence explaining technical material to experienced technical audiences. - Self-direction, adaptability, and the ability to switch efficiently among multiple concurrent tasks.

Nice to have

- Familiarity with Node.js, Python, and Java. - Experience creating technical demos, educational material, or community programs across several media formats.
