Role overview
A senior technical architect role focused on designing and optimizing electrical power delivery systems for industrial, data center, and enterprise customers across the U.S. West region. The position bridges engineering and commercial teams, supporting sales pursuits, driving innovation, and influencing technical strategy. It is remote with travel required and reports to the Power Solutions Architect Manager.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise to regional sales teams during business development, proposals, and RFI/RFP responses across eleven western states. - Interpret project specifications and guide estimation and design teams toward appropriate solutions. - Architect scalable, standards-compliant power systems that satisfy performance, reliability, and operational goals. - Evaluate components on technical and commercial grounds and recommend design optimizations or alternative approaches. - Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and thermal engineering peers to incorporate stakeholder feedback. - Represent the engineering group at industry events, mentor engineers, and support training programs. - Shape technical and commercial strategy while advocating for technology integration and digital transformation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; Master's degree or PE license preferred. - 5+ years in power system architecture. - Experience with electrical power-distribution OEM equipment. - Knowledge of UL and IEEE standards and industry practices. - Background in microgrid applications. - Prior power equipment sales or commercial collaboration experience, plus vendor engagement and innovation leadership. - Strong analytical and communication skills.
