Role overview
Join a well-funded, fast-growing SaaS team building next-generation conversational AI agents as a Product AI Engineer. The role sits at the intersection of software engineering, product design, and applied AI, with end-to-end ownership of agentic features shipped into a production platform serving enterprise customers across finance, insurance, utilities, retail, and e-commerce.
Responsibilities
- Design, prototype, and ship AI capabilities from initial concept through production deployment. - Build multi-step agentic workflows, tool-calling frameworks, and decision logic that orchestrate complex enterprise tasks reliably. - Design and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures, tuning retrieval strategy, chunking, and response grounding over enterprise documents. - Build evaluation frameworks, regression test suites, and quality gates covering accuracy, hallucination, latency, and reliability. - Integrate AI features into real user workflows, handling streaming responses, loading states, and edge cases gracefully. - Monitor production AI behavior with telemetry and conversation signals, iterating on safety and performance over time.
Requirements
- Practical experience building agentic systems, including tool and function calling, multi-agent orchestration, and state management. - Deep familiarity with modern RAG approaches such as vector search, hybrid retrieval, chunking strategies, and re-ranking. - Strong software engineering fundamentals for shipping production-grade, probabilistic AI systems. - Product sense for aligning AI capabilities with real user workflows and UX expectations.
