Role overview
A leadership role for an experienced quality engineering professional to own the QA strategy across a healthcare technology platform. The position combines people management, process design, and hands-on automation work, ensuring every release meets high standards for reliability, security, and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced Agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of QA engineers working across both manual and automated testing disciplines. - Review test plans, test cases, and test scripts for completeness, and provide coaching and performance feedback. - Manage team capacity, allocate workload, and track defects through resolution with engineering partners. - Establish and maintain QA standards, documentation templates, and best practices that promote quality advocacy organization-wide. - Oversee test planning, execution, and coverage for new features and releases across multiple platforms. - Drive expansion of automation frameworks, prioritize the automation backlog, and report progress to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. - 5+ years of software QA experience, ideally within health tech. - 2+ years leading a QA engineering team. - Strong grasp of Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines. - Proficiency in a scripting language such as Python or JavaScript. - Familiarity with API testing tools and SQL for database validation.

- Knowledge of healthcare regulations including HIPAA, FDA, and GDPR. - Comfort operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimal supervision.
