Senior Fullstack Engineer

Role overview

Build and evolve the backend and user-facing features of a digital care platform supporting children with complex medical needs. The role spans service architecture, integrations, and production delivery, with close collaboration across product, engineering, and business teams.

Responsibilities

- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services, microservices, and APIs. - Connect the platform with third-party services and external APIs. - Deliver tested, secure, well-documented production features for users. - Translate stakeholder goals into technical requirements and architecture; estimate scope and timelines. - Work across the stack as needed and collaborate with a remote, cross-disciplinary team. - Participate in an on-call rotation.

Requirements

- Experience with cloud services, service design patterns, data structures, and data integrations. - A collaborative approach to designing APIs for users and client teams. - Experience with Node.js and TypeScript or similar languages, AWS, Terraform, and React. - Understanding of production systems across data, integrations, testing, and user-facing applications. - Familiarity with web and mobile use cases, and willingness to work across the stack. - Interest in improving care for children with complex health needs.

Nice to have

- Experience building highly scalable, performant backend services. - Experience in healthcare or virtual care; FHIR familiarity is a bonus. - Background working in a fast-paced, collaborative growth environment.

Benefits and work setup

The listing gives a base salary range of $160,000–$180,000, plus an annual bonus and potential participation in an employee equity purchase program.
