Role overview
A remote, full-time senior role on a game development team, centered on creating high-quality 3D characters and related assets. The work spans modeling, texturing, and prop creation, and requires close collaboration with leads, supervisors, and directors inside a production-driven pipeline.
Responsibilities
- Model and texture game-ready assets using Maya or 3ds Max. - Apply both visual and technical judgment to high- and low-poly character creation. - Build complex character models as well as organic meshes and hard-surface environmental and prop models. - Iterate efficiently on feedback from leads, supervisors, and directors. - Operate as a self-directed contributor within a collaborative production environment.
Requirements
- Portfolio or reel demonstrating production-grade CGI or traditional art skills. - Strong working knowledge of Maya and/or 3ds Max, with 3+ years of industry experience modeling in Sub-D or polygon workflows. - Solid grasp of human anatomy and proportion. - Rigging experience considered a plus, alongside familiarity with traditional 3D sculpting. - Strong problem-solving instincts, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under production deadlines. - Self-motivated with clear communication skills and a strong team-player attitude.
