About this role

Role overview

This is an entry-level customer-facing position serving as the bridge between managed service partners and a 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC). The role focuses on translating complex security findings into clear, actionable guidance while keeping partners informed throughout incident lifecycles. Work is fully remote and follows a Tuesday–Saturday schedule.

Responsibilities

- Respond to partner inquiries across phone, email, and chat covering incident reports, escalations, and SIEM-related questions. - Explain SOC findings, log data, and detection behavior in plain language so partners understand what happened and what to do next. - Lead scheduled and ad-hoc calls during high-severity incidents, capturing decisions, timelines, and follow-up actions. - Coordinate with internal SOC, Product Support, and engineering teams to clarify detection gaps and relay updates back to partners. - Troubleshoot product behaviour and channel partner feedback into product and process improvements. - Help build knowledge base articles, response macros, and internal runbooks based on recurring ticket patterns.

Requirements

- Genuine interest in cybersecurity topics such as identity compromise, phishing, incident response, and endpoint defence. - Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to stay calm and empathetic during active incidents. - Willingness to grow incident-management skills, including prioritisation, information flow, and driving cases to resolution. - Comfort facilitating group conversations under pressure and documenting outcomes in a structured way. - Ability to manage a dynamic queue of tickets while balancing urgent work with longer-running investigations. - Self-awareness to work independently in a remote setting and judgement about when to escalate.

Nice to have

- Previous MSP or help desk experience handling multiple customers in tools like Zendesk or PSA platforms. - Familiarity with Microsoft 365 / Entra, mailbox behaviour, and phishing scenarios. - Basic SIEM and log analysis skills, including event codes and correlation across data sources. - Foundational networking knowledge covering VPNs, IP addressing, and geo or usage anomalies.

Benefits and work setup

- Fully remote position based in Ireland. - Tuesday–Saturday working pattern. - Home office setup allowance of €480 for new starters and a monthly digital reimbursement of €111. - Generous personal leave entitlements and a pension. - Travel to the US roughly one to two times per year for company events. - Access to a coaching and personal-development platform. - Compensation range of €32,000 to €42,000 base plus bonus and equity.
