Role overview Craft intuitive, high-trust digital experiences for clinical tools and care-facing platforms within a healthcare technology team. This senior role balances strategic design thinking with hands-on execution, working across discovery, workflow design, and pixel-perfect delivery on a lean team supporting multiple product verticals.
Responsibilities - Own end-to-end design for assigned product verticals, from discovery through pixel-perfect delivery, including workflow design, information architecture, and interface design for data-dense, human-in-the-loop clinical workflows - Support and contribute to design systems, patterns, and scalable design standards - Present design recommendations and rationale to stakeholders, incorporating feedback and building alignment across teams - Build interactive, high-fidelity prototypes to demonstrate complex interactions and validate user flows - Plan and execute qualitative user research, usability testing, and feedback sessions to validate design decisions and iterate rapidly - Champion WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards and plain-language design principles to ensure inclusivity across varying levels of digital and health literacy - Design with deep sensitivity to privacy, patient trust, and regulatory requirements
Requirements - 5+ years of hands-on product design experience (UI/UX) delivering digital products, web applications, or complex enterprise platforms from concept to launch, with a strong portfolio of complex, data-dense interfaces - Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Design, or related field, or equivalent practical experience - Expert-level Figma skills, including auto-layout, tokens, component variables, and interactive prototyping - Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution while operating within established design system standards - Proven ability to manage competing priorities, navigate ambiguous requirements, and maintain high design quality in a fast-paced, iterative environment - Outstanding communication skills, including the ability to discuss technical constraints and tradeoffs directly with engineers - Demonstrated success using design to improve business and customer outcomes such as satisfaction, engagement, retention, or operational efficiency - AI fluency, including understanding of how AI-driven features behave in-product (latency handling, confidence scoring, human-in-the-loop workflows) and familiarity with AI-assisted design tools
Nice to have - Experience designing within clinical, healthcare, or health-tech environments, or in other regulated or high-stakes domains - Experience designing interfaces for complex data pipelines, dynamic real-time data, or decision-support tools
