Role overview
Serve as the technical lead in enterprise pre-sales, partnering with account executives to turn complex customer needs into credible solution designs and successful technical evaluations. The work spans discovery, architecture, demonstrations, proof-of-concept delivery, and executive-level engagement across data, marketing, and AI use cases.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery into customer data architecture, marketing processes, business goals, and decision criteria. - Design and deliver tailored product demonstrations and solution architectures across customer data, identity, activation, and agent-based marketing capabilities. - Scope, execute, and validate proof-of-concept engagements with the rigor needed for complex enterprise purchases. - Build trusted relationships with data engineers, architects, marketing technologists, business leaders, and executive stakeholders. - Navigate multi-person buying committees, competitive evaluations, and long enterprise sales cycles while contributing to account strategy. - Advise customers on AI-enabled workflows, data activation, and decisioning, while sharing market feedback with Product and Engineering.
Requirements
- At least five years of progressive enterprise pre-sales or solutions engineering experience. - Demonstrated ability to lead technical discovery, whiteboarding, architecture, and solution design for both technical and business audiences. - Experience with complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles and value-based selling. - Working knowledge of customer data platforms, marketing automation, data warehouses, or comparable technologies at the architecture, integration, or use-case level. - Experience collaborating with data engineering, data science, or analytics teams. - Strong communication, technical judgment, and ability to work effectively in a high-growth B2B software environment.
Benefits and work setup
The role is remote-first and includes customer and team travel. The stated on-target earnings range is $190,000–$250,000 annually, with a base salary range of $133,000–$175,000; offers vary with experience, interview results, and level. Equity compensation is also provided.
