Role overview A senior engineering leader is needed to oversee multiple engineering teams delivering large-scale systems that protect high-value AI assets across finance, healthcare, government, and enterprise sectors. The role blends hands-on technical credibility with executive-level strategy, guiding the organization through an ongoing shift toward agentic AI architectures. It is a remote position based in the United States that partners closely with the VP of Engineering and other senior leaders on long-term technical direction.
Responsibilities - Direct the performance and output of several engineering teams, providing coaching to managers and senior individual contributors. - Co-author the engineering strategy and roadmap with executive leadership and shepherd core systems through an agentic transformation. - Drive delivery of complex, high-impact projects on time and within scope, owning prioritization, resourcing, and risk mitigation. - Champion technical innovation with a focus on agentic loop engineering, modern architecture, and continuous improvement. - Partner with product, design, operations, and other functions so that engineering work aligns tightly with business outcomes. - Build, scale, and develop engineering talent while establishing KPIs and reporting progress to senior leadership.
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's preferred. - 10+ years of software engineering experience with 5+ years in leadership roles at the director or senior manager level. - Demonstrated success leading multiple teams and shipping complex, high-impact products. - Deep technical background paired with strategic thinking and the ability to link engineering work to business objectives. - Fluency with agile methodologies, continuous integration, and modern DevOps practices. - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work with executive and non-technical stakeholders.
