Senior Infrastructure Security Engineer

Role overview An early hire on a small security team protecting a fast-growing mental healthcare platform used by tens of thousands of providers and millions of patients. The role focuses on embedding security into product and infrastructure decisions, hardening the AWS footprint, and helping developers ship safely by default.

Responsibilities - Partner with product and infrastructure teams on system design, security reviews, and engineering efforts that accelerate launches while reducing risk. - Define and build infrastructure and application guardrails so engineers can build securely by default. - Mature the cloud security posture across an AWS footprint using AI-driven approaches to configuration standards, hardening, and vulnerability remediation. - Assist with incident response, vulnerability management, ongoing security reviews, and other operational duties that keep the program running at a high level. - Continuously improve critical infrastructure, applying feedback from incidents and audits to scale systems efficiently.

Requirements - Five or more years of experience in security and/or software engineering, including work as a security generalist or on security-led projects. - Strong technical depth in building secure platforms and products, including hands-on security design and code review work. - Demonstrated ability to partner cross-functionally with engineering, product, and infrastructure teams. - Comfort working through ambiguous, fast-moving problems with an optimistic and energizing attitude. - Excitement about applying AI to reshape infrastructure security practices.

Nice to have - Familiarity with the listed stack: AWS (Fargate, ECS, Kubernetes, S3), Python 3, TypeScript, FastAPI, Postgres, Redis, Datadog, PagerDuty, GitHub, Wiz, Cloudflare, and Semgrep. - Track record of leading the industry in adopting new security and privacy technologies. - Mission-driven motivation to expand access to high quality mental health care.
