Senior Architect - German Speaking

Role overview A leading platform vendor for property and casualty insurers is hiring a Senior Architect to lead its most complex customer implementations. The role owns end-to-end technical architecture across large programs, partners with engagement managers and customer executives, and drives architectural governance and delivery success.

Responsibilities - Own end-to-end technical architecture across one or more large programs or portfolios - Lead discovery and design workshops to translate business needs into scalable solutions - Architect complex solutions across core insurance platforms and the associated cloud platform, including PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter-style systems - Define reusable design patterns aligned to best practices and long-term maintainability - Provide technical direction, mentoring, and design/code reviews for architects and developers - Anticipate technical risks and lead architectural governance processes to ensure consistent quality - Act as a trusted advisor to customer leadership, present roadmaps, and support pre-sales and proposal reviews - Apply AI tools to improve productivity and innovate within solution delivery

Requirements - Proven experience in enterprise software architecture with delivery lead experience - Background delivering enterprise solutions in the insurance sector; experience with core insurance platforms is strongly preferred - Strong command of Java, Gosu, REST APIs, and cloud-native architecture - Demonstrated ability to lead architectural governance and code or design reviews - Experience translating business needs into long-term technology strategies - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Nice to have - Multiple cloud or architect certifications - Experience leading multi-region or multi-vendor delivery programs - Familiarity with digital transformation, cloud migration, enterprise security, and compliance - DevOps awareness and cloud automation experience - Contributions to internal frameworks, accelerators, or reusable architecture assets
