Role overview This is a senior individual contributor role serving as a trusted cybersecurity advisor to strategic enterprise customers in the New York City metro area. The position blends executive-level consulting with business development, focusing on helping large organizations strengthen their security posture and make informed risk decisions.
Responsibilities - Build and sustain deep consultative relationships with customer executives, CISOs, and security leaders, acting as their primary advisor on cybersecurity strategy. - Identify opportunities to apply solutions and advisory services that address customer security challenges and business objectives. - Provide expert guidance on cybersecurity strategy, risk management, and security program development tailored to each customer environment. - Represent the organization externally through speaking engagements, publications, and industry events as a subject matter expert. - Partner with sales, delivery, and product teams to ensure consistent customer experience and aligned solution delivery. - Mentor colleagues and contribute to internal best practices, advisory frameworks, and methodologies.
Requirements - 10+ years of cybersecurity experience with at least 5 years in advisory, consulting, or senior customer-facing roles. - Demonstrated success building executive-level customer relationships that drive measurable business outcomes. - Deep expertise across multiple security domains such as risk management, compliance, incident response, and security architecture. - Strong business acumen with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value for diverse stakeholders. - Excellent communication and presentation skills with C-level audiences. - Must reside in the New York City metropolitan area with an established network in the local cybersecurity community.
Nice to have - Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA. - Hands-on experience with security frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls. - Background in professional services or consulting. - Track record of driving significant revenue growth through advisory relationships.
