Role overview
This is a leadership role managing a regional team of pre-sales Solutions Engineers focused on major enterprise accounts across the Americas. The position combines people management with hands-on customer engagement, partnering closely with sales, customer experience, product, and engineering counterparts to drive adoption of observability and monitoring technology. The successful candidate will own regional pipeline generation, executive-level account sponsorship, and the team's quarterly execution rhythm.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, ramp, and mentor a distributed team of Solutions Engineers from varied backgrounds, coaching them toward consistent high performance - Maintain a player-coach presence by personally engaging key accounts while developing the broader team - Partner with sales leadership on top-of-funnel programs, marketing initiatives, and community events to build regional brand awareness - Translate customer adoption strategies into enablement programs, workshops, and supporting collateral - Act as the executive sponsor for strategic accounts, serving as a thought leader in customer-facing and internal forums - Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to channel field feedback into product roadmap influence - Own the team's pipeline generation plan alongside sales counterparts and report on quarter-over-quarter results
Requirements
- Based in the United States - Five or more years in the high-technology industry, including prior experience in pre-sales, solutions engineering, or sales leadership roles - Demonstrated success managing and coaching technical sellers in a remote-first environment - Strong familiarity with monitoring, observability, or adjacent infrastructure software categories - Track record of executive-level customer engagement and account sponsorship - Experience partnering cross-functionally with product, engineering, marketing, and customer success organizations
