Senior Engineer

Role overview Build AI-powered products and internal engineering capabilities that help independent candidates and elected officials serve their communities. You’ll own substantial product areas, turn early ideas into working features quickly, and explore how AI agents can improve both the user experience and the team’s ability to deliver.

Responsibilities - Lead technical projects and shape architecture across the product stack. - Take loosely defined product ideas from concept to MVP, often within a few days, and iterate based on real user needs. - Build and maintain products used by candidates and elected officials. - Develop and evaluate agent-based capabilities in products and engineering workflows. - Create internal improvements that measurably increase the team’s output. - Communicate clearly across a remote team, especially when priorities or details are uncertain.

Requirements - Experience shipping and iterating on AI systems used in production. - Hands-on skill designing evaluation systems, agent graphs, and agent engineering workflows. - A record of independently delivering measurable improvements to team productivity. - Ability to rapidly turn incomplete product direction into useful, durable software. - Strong remote communication skills and sound judgment in fast-moving situations. - Interest in civic impact and helping broaden participation in democracy.

Nice to have - Professional or volunteer experience in civic technology, democracy reform, political campaigns, or social impact.

Benefits and work setup - Full-time, fully remote role; applicants must be located in the United States.
