Senior Product Manager, Secret Detection and Vulnerability Research

Role overview This senior product role owns the roadmap for a code-scanning product line that helps engineering teams find hard-coded secrets and known vulnerabilities before they reach production. The work blends security research direction with product strategy, sitting at the intersection of developer tooling, application security, and vulnerability management. It is a senior IC track position suited to someone who can translate research findings into a shipped, adopted product.

Responsibilities - Define and prioritize the multi-quarter roadmap for secret detection and vulnerability research capabilities. - Partner closely with security researchers, engineers, and data scientists to turn new detection techniques into productized scanners. - Lead discovery with developer and security user personas to validate problem framing, severity models, and remediation workflows. - Establish product metrics around detection coverage, false-positive rate, fix adoption, and time-to-remediate. - Coordinate launches with engineering, documentation, support, and go-to-market counterparts.

Requirements - Several years of product management experience on technical products such as developer tools, security platforms, or scanning/SAST solutions. - Familiarity with secret sprawl, CVE/NVD data, static analysis, and how modern CI/CD pipelines consume security feedback. - Demonstrated ability to write clear PRDs, sequence trade-offs, and influence engineering and research roadmaps without direct authority. - Strong written communication for working with globally distributed teams.
