Job details
About this role
Role overview
This product design role focuses on making complex web software clear, useful, and easy to operate. Working closely with engineering and an existing design function, you will own important areas such as a landing-page builder, analytics experiences, and email tools. Designers are involved in research, product decisions, implementation, and iteration rather than handing finished work over at the end.
Responsibilities
- Lead product design for major feature areas, from early exploration through implementation and refinement. - Plan, conduct, and synthesize user research using interviews, surveys, and session analysis. - Produce wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity designs in Figma. - Partner directly with engineers during implementation and help resolve design questions in context. - Maintain and extend the design system, including reusable components and interaction patterns. - Define thoughtful interactions for complex interfaces such as drag-and-drop editing and inline modification.
Requirements
- At least four years of product design experience for web applications. - A portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design work, not only visual execution. - Strong Figma skills, including components, auto-layout, and variants. - Experience designing data-heavy products such as dashboards, analytics views, or tables. - Solid understanding of design systems and component libraries. - Ability to plan and synthesize research and clearly explain design decisions in writing.
Nice to have
- Experience with page builders or drag-and-drop editors. - Basic HTML, CSS, or React skills for prototyping and collaboration. - Experience designing AI-powered products. - Startup experience, especially in a very small team. - Motion design or micro-interaction experience with tools such as Framer Motion or Lottie.
Benefits and work setup
The position is fully remote with flexible hours and an outcomes-focused working style. Support includes a home-office allowance, learning and development funds, meaningful equity, and broad health coverage including medical, dental, vision, and mental-health services. The design workflow uses Figma, FigJam, Maze, Linear, and Notion.
