Senior AI Engineer

Role overview

This senior engineering position centers on reviewing and signing off on artifacts produced by AI agents on behalf of enterprise customers. The engineer acts as a quality gatekeeper, pairing with client engineering leads and shaping the patterns that the agents follow on each account. It is fundamentally a supervisory craft role rather than a greenfield build role.

Responsibilities

- Review and approve AI-agent-drafted artifacts within a specific technical area - Collaborate with customer engineering teams on consequential technical decisions - Define house-style rules and reusable patterns that guide agent output - Contribute successful patterns back to the internal platform - Mentor other senior engineers on the practice of supervising AI-generated work

Requirements

- Ten or more years of experience building production systems - Demonstrated track record of work operating at scale - Strong views on reviewability, audit trails, and reversibility of changes - Preference for careful, thorough review of pull requests over rapid authorship
