Role overview A UX Researcher role within a global donation and fundraising platform serving nonprofits and their supporters. The position combines leading high-impact research studies with building a scalable research practice that empowers designers to run smaller studies independently, embedding user evidence into every product decision.

Responsibilities - Lead complex, ambiguous, end-to-end research studies from intake brief through methodology, fieldwork, synthesis, and follow-through on actions - Build a pragmatic research process for the Design team and create quality guardrails that enable independent research without bottlenecks - Choose appropriate methods such as interviews, usability tests, concept tests, surveys, and competitive scans based on uncertainty and timeline - Partner with Product Analytics to blend quantitative and qualitative signals into a complete view of user behavior - Collect input from Sales, Customer Success, Support, Marketing, and Analytics to shape testable research questions - Experiment with new approaches including AI-enabled methods, moderated and unmoderated testing, and emerging tools

Requirements - Proven experience running UX research end-to-end with high ownership - Background across both B2C and B2B products and audiences - Fluent English, with all moderation and presentations conducted in English - High research quality bar across methodology, timelines, and ethical practice - Comfort handling recruiting, scheduling, and logistics independently - Active user of AI tools to accelerate operations and synthesis while preserving rigor - Deep empathy and care when working with nonprofit staff, donors, and other participants

Nice to have - NN/g certifications - Academic or scientific research background - Familiarity with analytics tools like PostHog or Tableau - Experience with insight repositories such as Productboard - Mentoring or teaching experience through workshops or onboarding
