Remote job
AI Integration Engineer
Job details
About this role
Role overview Join a small, independent product team that makes migrations from other integration platforms faster and more repeatable using AI tooling. The work combines building tools with hands-on delivery: you will tackle unfamiliar source platforms, help complete early migrations, and turn what is learned into tools and playbooks that other teams can use. Two mid- or senior-level positions are available.
Responsibilities - Build and maintain AI-enabled developer tools, including agent skills, scripts, prompts, and automated tests. - Extend the tooling to cover additional source platforms and maintain its regression tests, versions, and release notes. - Analyze existing customer integrations, estimate migration effort, design target solutions, and implement them on the destination platform. - Join customer technical sessions, mainly remotely, and use project results to improve the tooling and its estimates. - Coach consultants and partners, pair with them on early migrations, and create documentation and playbooks for handing work over. - Help develop new tools and services, including offerings for partners and customers.
Requirements - Around five or more years of software or integration development, with strong experience in at least two of enterprise integration, AI-assisted development, hands-on coding, and customer-facing technical work. - Practical experience using AI coding agents in real development work, beyond chat-based assistance. - Working knowledge of APIs, data formats, and messaging, such as REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, or queues. - Programming ability in at least one general-purpose language, such as C#, Python, TypeScript, or Java. - Ability to understand unfamiliar code and integration logic quickly, learn fast, and work through open-ended problems. - Experience delivering technical discussions or solution work directly with customers.
Nice to have - Migration work across integration platforms; developer tools or internal platforms; or practices for testing AI-generated output. - Experience scoping customer projects, integration architecture and patterns, or process modeling such as BPMN. - Work with MCP servers, agent workflows or skills, LLM APIs, prompt and context design, or Azure integration and hosting services.
Benefits and work setup - Remote work with flexible hours and a permanent, full-time contract; start date is flexible. - Salary range of €68,000–€87,000 depending on experience. - The role’s tools are intended for production migration projects and use by consultants, partners, and customers.
