Sales Manager — United Kingdom
Job details
About this role
Role overview Build and lead public-sector sales in the UK for a healthcare interoperability platform that connects hospitals, care providers and digital health services through shared data standards. As the first senior commercial hire in the market, you’ll develop relationships and influence procurement pathways early, then convert that position into contracts against your own sales target.
Responsibilities - Map priority NHS trusts, integrated care boards, national programmes, incumbent suppliers and potential partners. - Build senior relationships across central government, national health bodies and provider organisations. - Engage early in shared-care-record strategies, clinical safety and standards discussions, and other programmes shaping future requirements. - Influence specifications, procurement routes and framework positions so they support open, standards-based interoperability. - Develop and qualify a UK pipeline, manage opportunities through to signed contracts, and meet sales targets. - Share market evidence with product and leadership teams; help establish a repeatable public-sector sales approach.
Requirements - A record of selling enterprise healthcare technology or interoperability solutions into the UK public sector. - Strong understanding of NHS procurement, including the relationships and processes that shape requirements before tenders are published. - Ability to develop senior stakeholder relationships and influence complex, multi-party buying decisions. - Experience competing as a scale-up or challenger supplier against established vendors. - An established presence in UK health technology or interoperability communities, such as through speaking or standards work. - Ability to build a pipeline and close business in a market without an established team or inherited opportunities.
Nice to have - Experience working in Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland as well as England. - Familiarity with European health-data regulation or experience leading market entry for a non-UK vendor.
Benefits and work setup The role is focused on UK market development and involves engaging with national bodies, NHS organisations and trusts.
