Role overview Remote or hybrid, full-time Graphic Design Associate role for a creative problem solver who wants to produce visual assets across digital and print channels. The position supports campaigns, events, and website UI/UX while contributing to open source initiatives and the broader digital commons.
Responsibilities - Understand design requirements by working closely with internal teams and distributed city chapters and community clubs, keeping work aligned with organizational objectives. - Design and develop creative concepts, layouts, and visuals for websites, campaigns, and events across digital and print, following established brand guidelines. - Gather feedback from team members and the wider community, then iterate on work accordingly. - Deliver high-quality, consistent designs within agreed deadlines. - Maintain organized design assets and documentation, including consistent file naming and version control.
Requirements - 0-2 years of professional graphic design experience, or a strong portfolio demonstrating equivalent capability. - Hands-on experience with tools such as Figma or Penpot, alongside Affinity, Inkscape, GIMP, or the Adobe Creative Suite. - A portfolio that highlights digital, print, and UI/UX projects. - Ability to generate creative ideas, articulate design decisions clearly, and incorporate feedback constructively.
Nice to have - Familiarity with open source design ecosystems and contributing to community-driven creative projects.
