Role overview
A remote, full-time delivery role for a senior project manager who can lead complex technology initiatives supporting insurance business functions such as policy, claims, underwriting, and billing. The position requires someone who can bring structure, manage risk, and keep cross-functional teams aligned from planning through release.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of technology projects supporting insurance operations like policy, claims, underwriting, and billing. - Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, dependencies, and deliverables across multiple workstreams. - Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, developers, and external vendors to define requirements and delivery plans. - Run Agile and Scrum ceremonies and track progress using Jira or comparable tools. - Coordinate application integrations, system upgrades, and production releases. - Provide regular status updates to leadership and stakeholders, and ensure projects meet quality, security, compliance, and regulatory expectations.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end technology projects in insurance, financial services, or another regulated industry. - Working understanding of insurance operations such as policy administration, claims, underwriting, or billing. - Track record of managing scope, timelines, budgets, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations. - Experience leading Agile and Scrum ceremonies and using Jira or similar tracking tools. - Background coordinating integrations, system upgrades, and production releases. - Strong communication skills with the ability to translate between business, technical, and leadership audiences. - Comfort working in ambiguity and balancing multiple stakeholder groups simultaneously.
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with insurance platforms such as Guidewire, Salesforce, or Duck Creek. - PMP, Scrum Master, SAFe, or other project delivery certifications. - Exposure to system modernization, data migration, or cloud-based delivery initiatives.
Benefits and work setup
- Remote position within the U.S. with an initial on-site orientation at a local U.S. office and possible client travel. - Candidates must reside in one of a defined list of approved U.S. states and be authorized to work for any U.S. employer without visa sponsorship. - Estimated compensation range of $70 to $80 USD per hour, plus eligibility for discretionary bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
