UX/UI Designer (AI-Native Process)

Role overview

This is a pioneering UX/UI design role centered on an AI-native workflow, where interactive prototypes are produced before static screens. The designer works as the production engine inside a multi-disciplinary team, generating roughly 70 to 80 percent of module designs through AI tools and handing polished work to senior craft designers. The engagement is fully remote on a B2B contractor basis.

Responsibilities

- Translate approved module briefs into clickable, multi-screen prototypes using AI design tools - Iterate quickly based on asynchronous feedback from strategists and senior designers - Build rough interactive prototypes live during concept workshops so the team can react to tangible artifacts - Hand off working prototypes to UI designers for visual polish, system compliance, and documentation - Help set and evangelize the standard for AI-first design practice across the team - Partner with strategists, senior designers, and researchers to keep product thinking grounded

Requirements

- A generation-first mindset: describe what a design should do before opening design software - Ability to produce a clickable multi-screen prototype from a brief in under two hours - Regular hands-on fluency with at least two or three AI design tools such as Magic Patterns, v0, Bolt, Lovable, Cursor, Claude Code, or Figma Make - Working understanding of front-end fundamentals including HTML structure, CSS layout, and component-based design - Strong design sensibility and ability to spot when spacing, flow, or composition is off - Clear written communication and comfort sharing prototypes asynchronously

Nice to have

- Experience acting as a product thinker rather than only a visual executor - Familiarity with several AI tools and a clear sense of when to switch between them - Background contributing to large-scale enterprise or public-sector design programs
