Staff Product Manager, Connected Ecosystem
Job details
About this role
Role overview A growing software company in the fleet management space is hiring a Staff Product Manager to lead its connected-vehicle data strategy end to end. This is a 0→1, entrepreneurial role focused on defining how real-time telematics, OEM, and connected-device data is captured, standardized, and turned into products that become mission-critical for fleet operators. The position reports to the Director of Product Management and carries ownership of a new product line, from ingestion through customer-facing experiences and go-to-market.
Responsibilities
- Own the long-term vision, strategy, and roadmap for connected-vehicle data, spanning ingestion, partnerships, and the products built on top of that data. - Negotiate and manage data partnerships with telematics, OEM, and other connected-vehicle providers so fleets can plug straight into the source. - Lead ambiguous 0→1 bets from opportunity identification through hypothesis testing, fast validation, and shipped product launches. - Drive discovery and delivery of experiences such as live fleet visualization, mapping, location intelligence, geofencing, and vehicle health and sensor insights. - Define how incoming data is standardized so it stays trustworthy, comparable, and actionable across the broader product surface. - Partner with Design, Product Marketing, Sales, and Customer Experience on intuitive UX, positioning, launches, packaging, adoption, and retention.
Requirements
- 6+ years of product management experience, with a track record of shipping and scaling technically complex B2B SaaS products. - Demonstrated success leading ambiguous 0→1 or early-stage 1→n initiatives with meaningful company impact, operating with high autonomy. - Experience building and managing strategic partner or ecosystem relationships. - Ability to turn a strong technical product into a scaled business through packaging, monetization, and go-to-market motions. - Familiarity with hybrid product-led growth and sales-led growth motions. - Strategic, analytical, and data-informed approach; relevant bachelor's degree (e.g., Business, Engineering, Design, Computer Science, or similar).
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with IoT or connected-device data and the products built on it. - Background in fleet, automotive, transportation, mobility, or vertical SaaS. - Experience with location and geospatial data, mapping, or real-time streaming data at scale. - Familiarity with marketplace, multi-sided, or platform business models.
Benefits and work setup
- Multiple health and dental plans (full coverage for employee, partial for family) plus vision insurance. - Incentive stock options and a 401(k) match. - Four weeks of paid time off, increasing after year two, plus company holidays and floating holidays. - Paid parental leave, FSA/HSA options, and short- and long-term disability coverage. - Quarterly wellbeing and business expense stipends, professional development funds, and community service funds. - New-hire equipment stipend and a Mac laptop provided; remote-friendly work setup supported.
