About this role
Role overview Deploy and maintain software on customer-managed servers, often hosted on AWS, and keep the build and test systems running. The service receives GPS device data continuously, making uptime, monitoring, backups, and dependable incident response central to the work.
Responsibilities - Install the software on customer servers and AWS environments. - Automate deployments and updates. - Configure monitoring, alerts, and backups. - Maintain server security and apply updates. - Help support teams investigate server and network issues.
Requirements - At least three years managing Linux servers in production. - Experience with AWS services including EC2, RDS, S3, and load balancers. - Familiarity with Nginx, MySQL, and SSL certificates. - Experience with Docker and shell scripting. - Ability to stay composed and respond when systems fail.
Nice to have - Infrastructure automation experience with Terraform or Ansible. - Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Grafana or Prometheus. - Experience with TCP servers or GPS device traffic.
