Software Engineer II - Data Platform

Role overview This role focuses on building the next generation of a modern SaaS platform and the data services that power AI-driven contact-center applications. The work centers on highly available, highly scalable, and reliable infrastructure for microservices running on Google Cloud. It combines hands-on Java development with cloud platform engineering, and includes production support when systems need deep troubleshooting.

Responsibilities - Contribute to platform services and applications that underpin a modern SaaS contact-center product. - Develop and operate highly available and scalable microservice infrastructure on public cloud. - Apply expertise across the cloud computing stack and open-source tooling to solve complex platform challenges. - Build application-level knowledge of existing systems and contribute to their overall design. - Dive deep into the stack to troubleshoot and provide production support as needed. - Collaborate as a peer on a team that values shared ownership, craft, and mutual accountability.

Requirements - Three or more years of software development experience on a Java team using Spring Boot. - One or more years working with a public cloud provider and Spring Cloud. - Experience designing and building highly available and scalable applications on GCP. - Hands-on skills with GCP services such as BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, App Engine, and Cloud SQL. - Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes. - Continuous delivery experience, including developing, testing, deploying, and managing production applications on Google Cloud. - Solid understanding of cloud design considerations across virtualization, global infrastructure, distributed systems, load balancing, networking, event processing, large-scale data storage, and security.

Nice to have - Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline. - Advanced degree in an engineering or business field.
