About this role

Role overview Own the strategy and execution for a Bot Detection product line at a device intelligence company focused on online fraud prevention. The role spans detection capabilities, customer-facing product experiences, and go-to-market readiness, evolving the product toward broader automation and intent intelligence in an AI-automated world.

Responsibilities - Set mission, vision, and strategy for Bot Detection as a distinct product line, and own the roadmap across detection, taxonomy, customer UX, and go-to-market readiness. - Drive plans to expand detection coverage, including anti-detect browsers, network and IP intelligence, AI assistant detection, and agentic automation patterns. - Partner with Engineering and Data Science to define evaluation methodology, quality targets, and iteration loops around false positives, false negatives, coverage, and robustness. - Own detection taxonomy and classification semantics, and translate competitive and threat landscape trends into prioritized investments. - Drive strategy for an Automation Intelligence API that detects automation without requiring a browser JS agent, including edge, pre-origin, and direct HTTP contexts. - Operate as a single-threaded owner across Product, Engineering, Data Science, Design, GTM, and Customer Success, running quarterly planning and managing dependencies.

Requirements - 3+ years of experience at, or deep familiarity with, bot management, fraud, or abuse platforms. - High ownership and strong cross-functional operating cadence across alignment, prioritization, and execution. - Customer empathy with the ability to translate customer problems into roadmap and requirements. - Strong data-informed decision-making skills, including defining and tracking meaningful product and quality metrics. - Understanding of data pipelines and operating constraints such as latency, scale, and robustness in detection systems. - Familiarity with privacy and security constraints and global compliance considerations, plus experience combining heuristic and ML approaches with measurement for both.

Nice to have - Experience running build versus buy evaluations in security or detection domains and translating them into execution plans. - Background defining pricing and packaging inputs, beta programs, and launch enablement in partnership with GTM teams.

Benefits and work setup - Salary range of $144,000 to $195,000, with examples of $170,000 to $195,000 for NYC and $144,000 to $166,000 for Chicago. - Fully remote company with a preference for candidates across the Americas through Central European time zones. - Pay transparency philosophy with compensation benchmarked by function, level, and geography against similar stage growth companies. - Inclusive hiring practices that strongly encourage applications from underrepresented groups in tech.
