About this role
Role overview Lead a backend engineering team responsible for a shared ledger and customer balance platform that tracks funds across multiple business lines. The role combines people leadership and technical direction with responsibility for accuracy, auditability, availability, and a careful migration of existing wallets onto the common platform.

Requirements - 3–5+ years managing software engineering teams, with delivery experience in secure, scalable, regulated, or otherwise high-stakes systems. - Understanding of transaction consistency, idempotency, and data modeling for systems where records must remain accurate. - Experience with event-driven systems and message streaming, such as Kafka. - Experience leading migrations of live, high-traffic systems while limiting customer impact. - Ability to combine strategic planning with enough technical depth to review designs and unblock engineers. - Strong communication skills and experience working across technical and business stakeholders.
Nice to have - Experience with Java, Spring Boot, and AWS. - Background with ledgers, wallets, balance services, payments, or other financial systems of record. - Experience navigating regulatory questions and developing engineers.
Benefits and work setup - Occasional travel to offices, conferences, meetings, or team events is expected.
