The role sits within the Discovery pillar and focuses on ranking algorithms, partnering closely with engineering and data science to turn product insight into a durable roadmap.
Responsibilities - Develop and execute a strategy that elevates the search experience through ranking algorithmic iterations. - Own a search ranking roadmap that is analytically grounded, clearly prioritized, and tied to business outcomes. - Direct the analytical work of the pod alongside a dedicated strategy and analytics partner to identify opportunities and diagnose failure modes. - Determine the right sequencing of opportunities, balancing foundational technical investments against near-term volume delivery. - Define and refine metrics for search ranking performance and retailer experience. - Build trusted partnerships across ML platform, discovery infrastructure, and adjacent search teams. - Represent the team's strategy and progress to leadership.
Requirements - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. - 7+ years of product management experience, including direct ownership of search or ranking systems, ideally at a marketplace or e-commerce company. - Strong prioritization instincts and a track record of sequencing the highest-impact opportunities. - Technical fluency comfortable engaging with technical white papers and holding informed conversations with engineering and data science counterparts. - Execution rigor across complex, multi-dependency work.
