Senior Business Intelligence Analyst

Role overview Scale a critical analytics engineering function inside the Finance organization of a wholesale marketplace platform. The role designs, builds, and maintains the data pipelines and models that power financial reporting and business insights, partnering across Accounting, Finance, Engineering, and Data Infrastructure.

Responsibilities - Scope, design, build, and maintain complex ETL/ELT pipelines that aggregate business performance metrics and financial reporting. - Act as a trusted analytical and technical partner to Accounting and Finance, gathering requirements and ensuring core ledgers accurately reflect business changes. - Collaborate with Engineering and Data Infrastructure to manage and improve data integrations such as Fivetran connectors, S3 pipelines, and other ingestion patterns. - Implement monitoring, alerting, and testing for data workflows, championing CI/CD and engineering best practices. - Lead initiatives for data strategy, roadmap planning, and prioritization across Finance and the broader organization. - Drive workflow automation and innovation, including identifying and implementing generative AI-enabled productivity solutions.

Requirements - 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, business intelligence, data analytics, or a comparable function. - Expert-level SQL skills focused on data modeling, large-scale data processing, and analytics tool development. - Experience designing production-grade ETL/ELT workflows using tools like Airflow, Docker, and dbt, with data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or S3, and visualization tools such as Mode, Tableau, or Looker. - Working proficiency in Python or a similar language for pipeline development and automation. - Comfort with CI/CD practices, Git version control, and command-line tooling for production data pipelines. - Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with both technical and business partners.

Nice to have - Familiarity with the company's data stack and experience with marketplace or transactional business models. - Experience with monitoring and alerting systems for data pipelines. - Finance or accounting experience, or experience supporting Finance and Accounting teams and building financial reporting pipelines. - Experience supporting SOX compliance requirements such as controls, audit trails, and change management.
