Job details
About this role
Role overview
An experienced product analytics role supporting a large, two-sided online marketplace focused on workplace food ordering. The analyst acts as a strategic thought partner to product management, design, user research, engineering, marketing, operations, and finance, using data to shape product and technology strategy. Success in the role means turning funnel analytics, experimentation, and causal analysis into concrete product decisions that move customer behaviour and core business metrics.
Responsibilities
- Partner with senior leaders across product, engineering, design, and finance to scope strategic questions and align on the team's analytical direction. - Analyse every stage of the product and site funnel, identifying friction, quantifying opportunities, and converting findings into a prioritised roadmap. - Work directly with product managers and engineers to size opportunities, define success metrics, and influence product strategy and shipped experiences. - Design, run, and review experiments such as A/B tests and multi-armed bandit studies to measure impact and surface next-step iterations. - Use statistical models and causal analysis to explain shifts in business performance and drive north-star metrics in partnership with stakeholders. - Navigate imperfect data while improving data quality and governance together with the data platform team, and use AI tooling to accelerate analytics throughput. - Mentor peers, raise the technical and analytical bar, and share product domain expertise across the team.
Requirements
- Five or more years of relevant quantitative or technical analysis experience, ideally in product analytics or e-commerce. - Strong SQL skills for data manipulation, paired with statistical modelling experience, preferably in Python. - Proficiency in site analytics and experimental test design. - Familiarity with modern data exploration and visualisation tools such as Snowflake, Tableau, and Sigma. - Ability to communicate data insights clearly to varied audiences and work independently across functions. - Strong organisational, time management, and multitasking skills, with willingness to travel up to roughly five days per quarter for team gatherings.
Nice to have
- Demonstrated success solving ambiguous, high-impact business problems independently.
Benefits and work setup
- Remote or hybrid working, based from home, a Boston-area office, or a mix of both. - Compensation targets nationally sit in a $142,000 to $174,000 USD total cash range including bonus, with final offers dependent on experience and region. - Package includes market-competitive salary, equity, twelve paid holidays, flexible PTO, a 401(k) with company match, health, dental, FSA, long-term disability, mental health and family planning resources, and access to an in-office meal programme.
