Senior Software Engineer (Python, AI)

Role overview This senior engineering position focuses on building Python-driven AI services for a major global professional services organization spanning audit, tax, consulting, and advisory. The work centers on scalable backend development paired with generative AI experimentation, including multi-modal models and retrieval-augmented pipelines deployed within a microservices and cloud-based architecture. The role combines hands-on coding with technical leadership, mentoring, and direct collaboration with client stakeholders.

Responsibilities - Lead requirements analysis, system design, Python and AI development, troubleshooting, and performance optimization across the project. - Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python applications using FastAPI and Pydantic for data validation and schema definition. - Implement asynchronous and parallel programming patterns with asyncio to support responsive, high-throughput services. - Conduct code reviews to keep quality, maintainability, and consistency high across the team. - Integrate and experiment with multi-modal generative AI models, including text-to-image and text-to-audio use cases, and help evolve agentic AI applications. - Coordinate day-to-day technical work, mentor team members, and serve as a technical point of contact for the client.

Requirements - Extensive professional background in software development, with strong, hands-on experience in Python and FastAPI. - Practical experience with Pydantic for data validation and schema definition in production Python applications. - Solid understanding of asyncio and asynchronous or parallel programming patterns. - Experience applying generative AI and large language models to real-world problems, including building agentic AI applications. - Familiarity with retrieval-augmented generation pipelines and hybrid search over vector databases. - Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, excellent organizational habits, and the ability to self-manage priorities and deadlines.

Nice to have - Experience with Azure Cloud services or other major cloud platforms, including Service Bus, Data Lake, Blob Storage, and Redis. - Familiarity with agentic protocols such as MCP and A2A. - Hands-on experience with the LangGraph stack, including long-term memory, human-in-the-loop workflows, and state management. - Familiarity with .NET, microservices architecture, and containerization or orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
