Automation QA Engineer (Calypso, CATT)

Role overview Drive quality assurance for a capital markets platform built on Calypso, designing and running automated tests across front-to-back trading workflows. This remote position partners with QA leads, developers, functional teams, and business stakeholders to safeguard trade capture, pricing, risk, settlements, collateral, SWIFT messaging, and accounting postings. The work centers on building reusable automation components and supporting integration, regression, and user acceptance cycles within a regulated financial-services environment.

Responsibilities - Translate business and functional requirements into detailed test scenarios, test cases, and expected results with full traceability. - Develop, maintain, and execute automated scripts using the Calypso Automated Testing Tool, building reusable components that broaden coverage and shorten regression cycles. - Validate end-to-end Calypso workflows and the interfaces, scheduled tasks, batch processes, reports, and accounting outputs that surround them. - Prepare, validate, and reconcile test data across source systems, Calypso, and downstream platforms, including SQL-based backend checks. - Log, triage, and retest defects using Jira and Xray, contributing reproduction steps, evidence, and impact analysis. - Produce test-execution reports and readiness documentation, flagging blockers and risks to the QA Lead and broader project team.

Requirements - Hands-on experience testing Calypso implementations in capital markets or financial services. - Practical experience building and running automated tests with CATT. - Solid grasp of testing principles, lifecycle processes, and defect management, including severity classification and triage. - Working SQL knowledge for test-data analysis and reconciliation across systems. - Experience using Jira, Xray, or comparable test- and defect-tracking tools. - Upper-Intermediate English and clear communication across QA, development, functional, and business teams.

Nice to have - Familiarity with Selenium, JUnit, or Cucumber as supplementary automation tools. - Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution. - Comfort supporting performance and security-testing activities.
