Role overview
A fully remote organization is hiring an IT Support Specialist to serve as the primary contact for employee technology issues, manage identity and access, and contribute hands-on to key IT initiatives. The role is full-time and non-exempt, sitting within a fast-growing team where high ownership and reliability directly enable the broader workforce to stay productive.
Responsibilities
- Triage and resolve employee IT issues across hardware, operating systems, and core applications; monitor the support queue and keep tickets moving with clear status communication. - Coordinate escalations across Operations, Engineering, People, and external vendors, following through until each request is fully resolved. - Handle login, lockout, and multi-factor authentication problems so employees regain access quickly with minimal disruption. - Provision and deprovision user accounts, process permission changes, and run routine access reviews against defined checklists and approvals. - Support the rollout of single sign-on across key platforms and assist with a migration of mobile device management tools, including device enrollment and end-user assistance. - Maintain documentation such as runbooks, checklists, and usage guides, and keep accurate records of accounts, hardware, software, and licenses.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or IT operations; a degree or certifications in information technology are preferred. - Demonstrated track record of fast, reliable issue resolution and high ticket throughput in a support environment. - Hands-on experience with account administration, including provisioning, access changes, and MFA, across cloud-based platforms. - Proficiency with macOS, PC environments, mobile device management platforms, and common collaboration tools such as Slack, Zoom, and Google Workspace. - Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and cloud applications in a fully remote setting. - Excellent communication skills with the ability to support a geographically distributed team.

- Experience contributing to SSO rollouts or MDM migrations. - Comfort maintaining runbooks and standard operating procedures.
