About this role
Role overview Director-level role leading security enablement within a product development organization in the financial services sector. The position sits inside the Product Development function and is responsible for building the practices, guidance, and capabilities that allow product and engineering teams to deliver securely at scale. It is a remote-eligible role with hybrid expectations anchored to a Texas office.
Responsibilities - Lead the security enablement function across product development teams, defining strategy and operating model. - Partner with engineering and product leadership to embed security practices into development lifecycles. - Build programs that raise the security maturity of product teams through training, tooling, and advisory support. - Advise on secure architecture, threat modeling, and risk tradeoffs for product initiatives. - Measure and report on the effectiveness of enablement programs to senior leadership.
Requirements - Director-level experience leading security, application security, or security engineering functions. - Strong track record enabling product and engineering organizations to build secure software at scale. - Deep understanding of secure development practices and how to operationalize them across teams. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence without authority. - Experience working within financial services or other highly regulated environments is preferred.
Benefits and work setup Remote-eligible position with hybrid expectations at the Allen, Texas office. Posted salary range is $157,667 to $283,801, with full-time regular employment status.
