Associate SOC Analyst

Role overview Join the front line of a Managed Detection and Response (MDR) operation where curiosity and a puzzle-solving mindset translate into real-world impact. As an Associate SOC Analyst, you will investigate alerts, hunt threats, and respond to incidents across endpoint, network, and cloud environments, growing from initial triage into full-scale investigations under the guidance of experienced mentors.

Responsibilities - Triage and investigate security alerts to identify, assess, and respond to potential threats - Collaborate with teammates and customer security teams to remediate incidents and harden defenses - Conduct proactive threat hunts and root-cause analyses to surface attacker activity - Own alerts through the entire lifecycle, from detection through resolution - Participate in 24x7 rotational coverage - Continuously identify improvements to detection, defense, and customer delivery processes

Requirements - Integrity, curiosity, and a client-first mindset - Strong written communication, adapting tone and detail for teammates and customer reports - Foundational understanding of TCP/IP, operating systems, and common network protocols - Hands-on experience with Windows, macOS, and Linux systems, including command-line use - Awareness of cloud applications such as M365 and Okta, and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP - Familiarity with detection and response tooling such as SIEM, EDR, and IDS/IPS - 1–2 years of IT or security experience preferred; passion and a compelling story can substitute

Nice to have - Curiosity about attacker techniques, the MITRE ATT&CK framework, and how defenders can outsmart adversaries
