Automation QA Engineer (Calypso, CATT)

Role overview Join a remote engineering team delivering quality assurance for a major Calypso implementation used by a multilateral development finance institution. The role centers on building and running automated and manual tests across front-to-back capital-markets workflows, supporting the full testing lifecycle from requirements analysis through UAT readiness.

Responsibilities - Translate business and functional requirements into detailed test scenarios, cases, and expected results for capital-markets processes. - Build, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using the Calypso Automated Testing Tool (CATT), including reusable components to expand regression coverage. - Validate end-to-end Calypso workflows covering trade capture, pricing, risk, settlements, collateral, SWIFT messaging, and accounting postings. - Support System Integration Testing, regression, position-conversion, and User Acceptance Testing cycles, including execution and evidence collection. - Coordinate test data preparation and reconcile data across source systems, Calypso, and downstream platforms. - Track defects in Jira and Xray, participate in triage, document reproduction steps, and verify fixes through retesting. - Contribute to CI/CD-driven automation execution and assist with performance or security testing as needed.

Requirements - Hands-on experience testing Calypso implementations in capital markets or financial services. - Practical experience developing and executing automated tests using CATT. - Solid grasp of testing principles, methodologies, and lifecycle processes across SIT, regression, and UAT. - Working SQL knowledge for test-data analysis and backend validation. - Experience with Jira and Xray or comparable test and defect management tooling. - Upper-Intermediate English and clear communication for cross-team coordination.

Nice to have - Familiarity with Selenium, JUnit, or Cucumber. - Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution.
