About this role
Role overview A senior product designer is needed to lead the end-to-end design of a financial experience spanning web and mobile for a vacation rental platform serving individual homeowners through professional property managers and portfolio operators. The role sits at the intersection of product strategy and hands-on front-end craft, partnering closely with engineering, product management, and subject-matter experts to ship trust-building reports, dashboards, and workflows.
Responsibilities - Own the financial experience across Core, Plus, and Pro tiers, designing responsive interfaces and component logic that make distributions, payouts, and other high-stakes data clear and actionable. - Define product design strategy in partnership with cross-functional leaders, balancing conversion, adoption, and unit-economics considerations against interface quality. - Build functional, interactive prototypes using AI-forward development tools to compress the path from hypothesis to production-ready code. - Implement fluid interactions, data visualizations, and predictable state management directly within a React and TypeScript front-end architecture. - Evolve the Pro product through components and views that scale to large portfolios, accounting for variable data and sophisticated operator workflows. - Apply first-principles thinking, owner feedback, and behavioral data to surface design and engineering needs before they become support issues. - Contribute systemic UI improvements by translating components and patterns into a reusable, accessible design-system library.
Requirements - 7 or more years of product design experience in B2B, fintech, or high-growth tech-enabled services. - Production-grade UX and UI craft with technical fluency in React, TypeScript, and modern CSS-in-JS architectures, plus a trained eye for typography, alignment, and motion. - Advanced proficiency with AI development environments for rapid prototyping. - Strong financial sense, including an understanding of how users interact with financial data and how back-end concepts such as revenue splits, accounting logic, and tax reporting shape front-end design. - Proven ability to navigate ambiguity and translate opaque requirements into high-fidelity multi-platform solutions. - Demonstrated ownership of shipped features and the business outcomes that follow.
Nice to have - Experience designing for professional audiences such as multi-property investors, property managers, or short-term rental operators. - Background contributing to or scaling a component-based design system.
Benefits and work setup - Industry-competitive base pay with company equity and a 401(k) featuring a 4% immediate-vesting match. - 16 to 18 weeks of paid parental leave for birthing parents and 10 weeks for non-birthing parents, plus infertility coverage. - Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans, with employer-paid dental and vision for individual coverage, a low-cost medical option, 10 free mental health visits, and pet insurance. - Generous paid time off, sick leave, holidays, and a personal holiday, alongside a recognition time-off program for full-time exempt staff. - After one year, an annual travel credit and discounts on stays across the company's rental properties. - Structured onboarding, learning, and development resources, plus employee resource groups. - Remote-friendly work model with periodic required travel for full-time exempt employees.
