EverWell - Lead Platform Mobile Engineer (Remote, NZ)

Role overview Set technical direction for iOS and Android applications while remaining hands-on with mobile engineering. The role focuses on improving platform architecture, reliability, performance, security, and delivery practices, while helping product and engineering teams balance platform work with feature delivery.

Responsibilities - Own and guide technical direction across the mobile platforms. - Improve architecture, engineering standards, and development practices. - Address technical debt and platform issues to make applications faster, more reliable, and easier to maintain. - Work with mobile and product teams to improve development, testing, and release processes. - Support prioritization that balances platform improvements with product delivery. - Share expertise, guide technical decisions, mentor engineers, and support critical infrastructure, security, and dependency updates as needed.

Requirements - Strong practical mobile engineering experience across both iOS and Android. - Experience leading technical projects and influencing architecture or engineering decisions. - Understanding of mobile architecture, performance, reliability, and security. - Ability to identify challenges, prioritize improvements, and develop practical solutions. - Strong communication and collaboration skills across engineering and product teams. - Interest in mentoring colleagues and improving how teams build and deliver software.
